Hi folks, I have a small 100a Lincoln flux-core mig that I purchased when I lived in Canada. Works well on 20ga crs so would like to use it on auto bodywork, but would like to adapt it to work on gas so I can use it indoors...
The unit was sold as purely flux-cored and not "convertible" - question is then, is there a "generic kit" that would enable this to be done?
I strongly suspect NO will be the answer, but no harm in trying to save myself a few wads of banknotes!!!...

If NO, then I WAS thinking about:
OPTION A: the Clarke 151TE, on top of which I would have to add the cost of a regulator and hose to allow me to use refillable cylinders rather than the rinky-dinky disposables it is set up for...
BUT then I thought about:
OPTION B: the Clarke 151EN, which even WITH the regulator and hose for a refillable cylinder would cost me about £70 LESS than option A...
As far as I can see from the specs, they are the same unit, with the "deluxe" one being set up for rinky-dinky disposable cylinders for the extra cost - right??
I guess the bottom line is I don't want to pay the extra £££s for the "rinky-dinky" gas set-up if I'm going to upgrade to a "MAN-SIZE" gas set-up from the start!...
Am I thinking straight or have I been inhaling too many fumes from my old Lincoln??
Comments or thoughts anyone??
Thanks!
