Hi

I have just a general question I have been looking in to plasma cutter and was wondering are the ones with the built in compressor worth the money or is it just due to there flexibility as in more portable. Ie no compressor

Many of those with built-in compressors aren't much use on anything thicker than bodywork. You can operate them with a conventional compressor though if you need to cut thicker material.

Yeh that's what I kind of thought I have a large compressor. Not used it much will need try get it sorted . I take u need good clean dry air for them to work well

Anyone tried a divers bottle to feed the air needed on site?

Yes, and nitrogen too. You need a high flow reg which is expensive, and by the time you pay for cylinders it's usually cheaper to rent or buy a compressor to do the job with, unless you already have the bottles and the reg.
