lincoln minimig died

hi , my lincoln minimig 180c just stopped working relay on pcb just clicks when pressing the trigger ,got it second hand and only used for odd mot jobs. Really got on with it well bit sad now,impossible to get any parts now i ges,can anyone help or maybe it is time to say goodbye

It's an old machine now & direct replacement spares are no longer available. I can have the PCB repaired for you if you are sure that's the fault? what are the symptoms??

hi thanks for the reply, im not sure really if its the pcb, just a guess,the machine is totally quiet except for a click from the relay when the trigger is pressed. I took the plastic top off of the bottom relay on the board and closed the contact with the screwdriver and the machine came to life.

If you own an multimeter, see if you get continuity on the coil side of relay.

Coil side is proberbly 12v so you could put a 9v battery accross it instead to test.

ya good idea, i put a tester across the two terminals to the mini coil on the bottom relay they test ok.
