Lincoln mig torch contact tip

I was ordering a new torch and the guy in the shop says that Lincoln don't do 0.8mm contact tips for the torch I was ordering. It's a Lincoln LGP 420. I always thought contact tips were standard. I have 0.8 and 1.2mm rollers for the feed and only wanted 0.8 for lighter stuff.
Does anyone know if its possible to fit a 0.8mm tip to this gun or else would it be possible to swap out the swan neck and replace it with a different one. The reason I'm asking is the gun is on offer and is cheap. Thanks for any help

Changing the liner wouldn't bother me. I can't find much information on it other than "Wearing parts following the industry standard CE IEC
60974-7 and EN50078". I have the manual for the torch http://www.lincolnelectric.com/asse...ches-MigGuns-LGP420G-LGP420G/LincGuns-ENG.pdf and it even says on the section for the gun that it has excellent properties with 0.8mm solid wire...but they don't do the contact tips for it. It's almost like their teasing me with it or something

When I bought the EWM Pico, the standard mig tip is threades 7mm, but I got one of their own adapters that takes the more usual 6mm tips, Maybe yours is similar and they do not make the gun to take a 0.8mm tips as standard.

Well I have it bought now anyway so I'll have to figure some way out of it. If it says in the manual it takes standard consumables it should be possible to work it some way. At least I'll know what's possible when I get it. Never new there was adaptors though so that might make things a bit easier. Would be easier than swapping out the whole swan neck and head anyway.

Finally making some headway on this. The torch uses a standard M10 tip holder but, as Gordon says above, I can get an M8 holder to replace it. This will take a 0.8mm contact tip. Lincoln only make 1.0mm + contact tips with the standard m10 thread.
