Lincoln electric 3350 do not buy

Got two Lincoln electric 3350 the one is 5-6 years old done a load of work bought a brand new one in January, and it’s been nothing but disappointment. First problem I’ve had is the battery’s going flat every 2 days so I sent it back to supplier who then sent it back to Lincoln, I then waited till the end of April for a replacement screen bit. They then sent me just a screen bit and not the piece of plastic it sits in when I sent the whole screen unit so I’m still currently waiting for the plastic piece to come it’s now June. I have had to put my old unit in the new helmet as the head piece of the old is pretty worn but still useable but it’s gone uncomfortable and rough but that is understandable for the age. The new one has already broken the head piece off the front making it unusable, the quality has seriously gone down hill and comparing the old headpiece the plastic is nearly twice as thick as the new one as shown by the picture. Would highly recommend not buying a Lincoln helmet and I wish I hadn’t.

no offense to you but when your spending that much money , just go all in and get speedglas instead. i dont even bother with those other brands. last thing i need is the helmet failing in the middle of a job

That's pretty poor. Shame. The 3350s were ok hoods for a long time, i know a lot of people love them.
Hope you get your new one sorted, and thanks for the heads up.

They all seem to have their own problems no matter what brand, to be honest.

Hindsight is fantastic, but when the previous example had given good service one might sensibly expect a product of similar quality?

of course hind sight is 20/20. but now you know. ive tried a few other brands (lincoln ,miller , jackson ,optrel). none of them hold a candle to speedglas if you ask me. if you want a long lasting ,tough as nails hood , theres only one choice

I don't even count Lincoln as a brand anymore.
They bought out Bester, and Bester produce their welders and such for Europe.
Bester could produce good products, but Lincoln are only concerned about profits
and their quality is Chinese levell now at best, which is very sad, I used their older
products and they always put a smile on my face.
I would avoid thier new stuff like the plague, heard nothing good about them in a
long time, and the OP already knows about the getting parts or service issues.

lincoln machines sold in usa are all assembled in mexico. likely with chinese components im sure
