You're right about 'milder' winters, and if it gets to the Canadian levels ^^ I still have my ski salopettes to resort to.

I've been to Alaska 5 times in the winter, Army and Navy store in Anchorage is one of the go to places for workwear. They sell clothing for people working up on the North Slope (Prudhoe Bay) and they have overalls rated to -50-60c

I DO have a padded boiler suit, but if it's that cold I won't be going out to the shed.

I was happy as I would like some, then I noticed 32" minimum size.
I have to have a belt at 30. And the belt has three extra holes to make it small enough...

I used to have a 28" waist, then it went to 30" and stalled there for ages/years - now it's just crept to 32" for comfort/bending etc. Need any trousers? Bill Edwards

I think it was nearer 32 a couple/few years back but I got ill, it's never really come back on. 30" hasn't been anything like tight since.
It's both good and bad.

Just a heads up on these for anyone that has not noticed but they are quite flammable! How do I know?
Was chopping up some full size rail track this morning with 9 inch grinder and noticed that the trousers felt very thermal
They do look like cotton but outer material is 65% poly 35% cotton and inner lining is 100% poly. Once a spark get through to the inner they flare up quite well
Keep them for gardening chores

I'll be digging mine out in the next couple of days, I think. I would have bought another couple of pairs this year, but what I've got should do me for a while. I've been using the Lidl lined trousers for a few years now, and been quite impressed with them. Mind you, I haven't given the Grinding Torture test to them as seen above.
