Lidl socket set

Just noticed that lidl have this tool kit on sale

I bought one a few years ago and it really is a good quality comprehensive kit to carry in the car etc. Just thought I'd mention it on here in case anyone was on the lookout for one.

Thanks for the quick reply, I was thinking of getting one so it could live in one of my cars permanently as an emergency set but it has both metric & imperial fittings on it so this set is not suitable.

i bought a smaller lidle set to keep in car, stripped the 17mm socket first time I used it, it now belongs to the grandson, hes 4.

Don't know, but it seems to involve a metal tray and LOTS of concentration. [could equally apply to many situations, I suppose ]

In the past, some of their stuff has been complete junk, but the set I link to is good quality for the price. Mine gets abused on the land rover and it's still good.

They do a little socket set for about 15.99 that's really good. The quality is excellent. I liked mine so much I got one for my daughter and took mine to work one day so we could do a couple of little jobs and my mate took the exact same kit in. Don't know about the big set, but if you're just starting out, it would be a great start. The little set is all metric so i imagine the big set is too.

I have a set from lidl, I think ? have had it 12yrs or so got it to keep in the car, its in a double sided plastic fold up case and must say its been excellent I have done some biggish jobs with it, fine, has deep sockets also which I prefer, it all clips in so you know if the set is all there at the end of a job its been invaluable for scrapyd runs coz its got what you need ( mostly ) and is easy to carry
