Lidl plasma cutter

I saw this on Facebook this morning the price semes good
The torche and the lead is short
But I don't know think that can be good enough for me.

It's got a PT31 torch albeit with a 2.5m cowboy lead.
My plasma cutters both have 4 meter cowboy leads and pt31 torches, but only once in 4 years of commercial use have I needed to reach the end of it; 2.5 metres will be more than long enough for 99% of plasma cutting applications.

15-40amps @ euro129.00 for a 12mm thick mild steel severance cut it really is worth a punt.

The trick with plasma cutting is a dry air supply. Don't rely solely upon the water trap supplied with the plasma cutter, put at least one larger capacity water trap in the system and if possible convert an additional water trap body to contain a bag of silica gel crystals. You will experience better, cleaner cuts and longer life on the front end consumables.

I have not studied Plasma Cutters before. Is this the same capability as the ubiquitous Cut50?

If so being cheaper than the cheapest Cut50 on eBay and with Lidl's no quibble return and warranty that looks tempting.

Just need to find a use for one when it comes to the UK.

No it's more comparable to a CUT-40.

If I didn't have one already I would absolutely have a go at this. As has been said, excellent warranty and a great price makes it a no-brainer.

Is not severance cut ..... So I think can go also over .
Thank you about the advice about the air supply .
I have to built an engine driven air compressor (I have the engine ) because my energy supply contract gives me only 3kW and my engine driven welder even gives 3kW 230V .
But hei is a plasma cutter for less than 140 euros
I have surely to replace the torch whit one longer and heavier same thing about the ground clamp (brass ones is better )
If I will see that is good for me I will get one only ,if I see that is to little I will take one bigger (stamos ) for the workshop (a room more than a workshop but is my shop) .
Duty cycle is 20% 40A 40°C
But I think difficult I have the energy to use a plasma cutter under the summer sun at 40 celcius
Think I will take it surely

Yes I think is the first time
I think that could be a war at lidl to get one (to much people ) I must be there at 7AM to be sure to take one at home

I don't think there will be any need to replace the earth clamp ,
Even the hypertherm has a pressed clamp and the cable is probably only 1.5mm or so.

Apart from physical damage I don't think the return cable carries much current

12mm is severance. Even that's far fetched. With a Pt31 torch you'll be swapping consumables out regularly, more so over 5mm thick

Right then. Keep checking the weekly emails for the heads up for UK stock. Get up at silly o'clock, park car in the mummy bay by the entrance and fight off the grannies to be first through the door. (or rock up 5 minutes before closing the day before and sweet talk the store assistant into getting one out from the back?)

Think is probably all the Lidl stuff that I bought was great and more better than what I could ask to them

I've owned two machines with a Pt31 torch. I would use it for sheet only. Everything else its port cut quality as the consumables are too hit and miss. I've swapped mine for a sg55 torch

I will replace with a p-80 torch (trafimet style or cebora style don't remember exactly now)
