Lidl impact wrench

Lidl are selling a mains powered Impact Wrench on Monday 28th of March for £29.99.

Similar idea to the mains powered Clarke CEW1000 when tends to go for £60 to £80.

Clarke 1,000 Watt motor
Lidl 450 Watt motor

Clarke 450 NM
Lidl 320 NM

Both have 17, 19, 21 and 22mm sockets both come in a plastic blow case.

Both have a spare pair of brushes.

A few friends have the Clarke unit and say it is fine. For constant use it has a name for going through brushes.

Anyone got any experience of using these cheap alternatives?

I wouldn't expect too much of it but still handy for 30 quid.
I doubt these units will shift a seized nut and put 380N on it. I have a Sealey version and it struggles to remove nuts at 90N.
Battery Snap On guns eat these cheapo's but they cost as much as I paid for the car!

its a parkside, someone brought me a parkside air impact to try I think it would struggle with meccano

you get more joy from it using it to hit a T bar then putting air through it

I agree, bought one of the air powered impact "wrenches", great as a nut runner but won't touch the car wheels nuts without untightening with a socket & bar first.

I have the Clarke CEW1000 it wont remove wheel nuts at 120nm. But it has come in handy with a couple of other jobs.

I have used a few Parkside tools and they vary in sucess rate.

That said I have never rated airtools in any of the cheaper brands. Never used any expensive ones.

My son grabbed a sealey battery impact gun from a car boot for 20 quid. I laughed at him BUT IT'S RAN for 3 years and moves most things. The things it does not move require a breaker bar and scaffold pipe to shift them.

There is no way that Parkside tools are Made in Germany. Almost certainly China.
The Germans have been jumping on that sub contract bandwagon for a long time.
Even the majority of Bosch is not Made in Germany. The parts are made everywhere for their stuff except Germany.

I've got a DeWalt dcf899 impact wrench and I've not found a bolt it won't shift, 1500nm break out force. Had a stuck lambda sensor, broke it free with easy.
Only costs £150 as a bare tool. I think you are always better getting a good quality tool, you can lean on it more and will just last.
