im getting a gallon and a half a day from our house. it was 95 percent humidity outside today and 55 percent in houseI can't comment on the lidl one but my previous dehumidifier (in the garage) was pretty easy to jury-rig a hose through the outside wall for permanent drain. I bought a cheapo dehumidifier and its ran for the last 20 yearsI can't comment on the lidl one but my previous dehumidifier (in the garage) was pretty easy to jury-rig a hose through the outside wall for permanent drain. Ran for three years before it conked out.
The replacement has an actual perma-drain outlet fitted![]()
the only thing it needs is blow the crap out of radiator twice a year disassemble the motor and oil the bearings and thats it
My shiny new one is too smart for its own good - it turned itself off last week when the temperature hit 2C. I only realised when I went into the garage and the cutter that I'd left in the mill had flash-rusted (always put everything away when you're done!).I bought a cheapo dehumidifier and its ran for the last 20 yearsthe only thing it needs is blow the crap out of radiator twice a year disassemble the motor and oil the bearings and thats it

600ml a day in ideal conditions means its probably peltier based instead of having a compressor. It'll be quiet but wont remove much moisture under normal use.
Best bet is to spend at least a hundred or so for a proper compressor unit for house use or a dessicant wheel type for a workshop where its usually colder / unheated.
