Reckon I'll buy one, fully charge battery and then try it out on various 4x4 project vehicle wheel nuts - some of which haven't been undone in years. If it fails to impress then it'll be straight back under Lidl's satisfaction guarantee for a refund.

In the end bought one and am happy with it. Undoes wheel nuts effortlessly and saved my energy when recently building a structure out of Unistut with M12 bolts.

I think they have a right to offer a repair rather than replacement or refund.

After the first 30 days, they can choose a remedy. However if they want to offer a repair, they get one opportunity to achieve satisfaction, otherwise it needs to be refunded. A partial refund to reflect the use you have had from it, is perfectly within the CRA.
