Lidl Car Mats

Though I keep meaning to buy some heavy duty, tailored rubber car mats for the Mondeo I haven't yet

Bought a carpet set from Lidl a while back. The driver's mat has worn through.

No issues there I'm a big lad and will often drive in site/riggers boots.

So I bought a new set today again from Lidl. Primarily only for the driver's side.

Made in Germany but I hope for the UK market. Now you'd expect the driver's and passenger sides to be mirror images save for the driver's maybe having a reinforced area.

But what in the world is the one on the left assuming the set is for a RH drive car?

Hi, Use the old one as a pattern to cut another out of a square office carpet tile, they last for ages, come in a (limited) range of colours and easy to pick up.

Another vote for cutting a replacement out of a commercial quality carpet tile.
I passed a skip the other day (rare thing for me, although I did pass, very, very slowly), must have been a couple of hundred carpet tiles in there, not to mention the odd knackered printer, and redundant fax machine.

I had some matts from a LHD volvo and they were no good in my RHD version as there was a foot rest space on the drivers ones

It was a bit odd when the woman at the till said to keep my receipt in case they didn't fit. Off to hoover the car etc in a mo ready for the MOT so I'll make a decision then on keeping them.

I bought some cut to fit mats when they had them in Lidl years ago. They needed trimming but there's a line to work to and if anything they are a bit too grippy when wearing boots as the tread grips your heel.
