My Lidl callipers died during turning a cast iron face plate, can't think why. Most of them fail when you move them around the reading goes haywire and loses it's zero, something in there wears out pretty fast.
I have the lidl sliding mitre saw and although it’s not up to the standard of my mates dewalt it’s a great saw Iv mine bout 2 year and it’s done a lot of cutting both in nice new timber and rough old stuff and has never skipped a beat .The sliding mitre saws are back next Sunday too apparently. Not sure if they are any good. £85 this time I think.
Same with me. I've got my expensive Mitutoyo that are too precious to be used everyday when the sub £10 supermarket items do the same job most of the time. No idea, however, where my 2 or 3 cheap ones are at presentMy logic for buying three or four is that I may be able to find one of the damn things when I need it
