Lidl and how they (don't) think

Up in Norton here (near Stockton-on-Tees) there is a Lidl as there is in most towns nowadays, it is where eldest son goes to get his electric car charged fast when he is in a hurry. Couple of weeks ago the local skallys had away the charging cables and the other day when we went we discovered the charging point had been replaced and the charging cables have some sort of anti theft measures installed. Don't they think these things through? Just go instore and buy an angle grinder, pack of disks and off you go. Being a skally they don't even have to buy one, just nick one!

I think you are wrong, tis the gene pools management at fault…no one is born bad apparently, just not properly guided and educated.

But the advent of battery tools….progress…helps the bad equally as much as the good…..before power tools how often was a builders van robbed for example. Progress and technology are opportunities for all not just honest folk

We went to one of our local aldi/lidl can't remember which one, there was a "Dual Fuel Parking Bay" electric and petrol vehicles could use it.

The fuel dispensing apparatus installed on the island, didn't appear to have a fossil fuel hose, only electric fuel available.

The store staff didn't seem to understand when I asked "Why are you being racist/transport-ist towards my vehicle?".......

The wife just walked away shaking her head.......................

Or just have a socket and bring your own cable?

Most of the smaller chargers are just a socket and you have to use your own cable.
The fast charge ones are the ones that have the integrated cable.

When you get up to some of the truck stuff they are liquid cooled.

Under our regulations you are required to present a passport or driving licence and utility bill at a scrapyard as proof of identity, and you shouldn't be paid in cash.
Unless you are a member of a certain nomadic communities, where apparently no id or paperwork is required, and it’s all cash and a wink.

My local scrap yard has their own cash card system...they give you the card when you register with them, pay direct tot hat card only and then you can draw the cash at home in the wall or transfer online to your bank...or atleast thats how they did it last time I took anything there about 3 years ago

Used to be a nice place (although admittedly so far back, the OP was still a lad )

In recent times we've had someone murdered by idiots throwing things off a roof; a house firebombed by an aggrieved ex; drugs, guns and money found in a buried stash; some idiot discharging a firearm in a public house.

Anyway... got some cable for sale, cheap like...

And here you go, suddenly "undocumented" peoples are suddenly self employed and as they now have a "bank account" can get a tax number and register as self employed. Or so I am told anyway

I doubt a scrap yards cash card would count as a bank account...its in the scraonyards name for a start and you cant use it for anything except drawing cash or transferring to 1 specified account that matches the clients name...I get you could make a lucrative and relatively untraceable business in cash with it, but its still relatively easy for hmrc to see what has been transferred to you from the scrap dealers as the cards have their own number and registered to your scrap account.

I haven't used mine for a fair while but was using it to scrap cars through my business and then transferring to business account once a month as and when it benefited me
