I am tearing my hair out trying to find a UK supplier of imperial (UNF) left hand bolts, (specifically 1/2" x 20) - can anyone point me in the right direction? Problem is perhaps made worse that I only need one...... length is academic as long as it is a minimum of 2.1/2" in length.

It's not quite what you want, but if you stretch it a bit and cut a bit off, it could be:

What head size (AF) and how much of the 2 1/2 inches of the bolt need threads?
I might have some stock to make one but I can't guarantee the grade as all my hex are off cuts.
Also I don't have a left hand gauge so it would be as close to spec as my equipment will allow.

Head size is academic (it will be cut off and machined) as I only need the threaded section.
Many thanks for your offer but I would not dream of putting you to this trouble - I will go the turnbuckle route if I have to as per the suggestion of Agroshield above.
