After 16 years of service my lawnmower deck needs a bit of love!
I used a needle gun inside the deck and the two visible holes became what looked like an A10 Warthog practice piece!
So me the amateur is going to start patching!
Wish me luck, this looks difficult....

Grass cuttings evolve large amounts of weak acids, and it's best to wax or oil the underside of the deck on a frequent basis.
It's a bit like marine engines, which seldom wear out, but invariably rot away instead......

Done two more, this one's crowned both ways and was a bar_steward!
I'm using 1.5mm on a 1mm deck, I dread to think how much fun this is on cars?
My Landy needs the bulkhead fixing so this is practice.

I put a new deck on one of my Honda's last year. I fitted a hose washing point on it - it does help washing them down with blades running after use.

I think John Deere is the only manuf I have seen that sells replacement deck's at the parts counter.
Just the bare deck, no spindles, pullies, etc.
