legal overhang of a vehicle?

I need to pick something up 14ft6 long and i should have the use of a mk6 luton which i think is 10-12 ft internal length, so there will be some overhang

If i remember right, upto 1 metre is ok, but over a metre needs a reflector or triangle

Is that right?

Yeah you'll be fine with that.

If I remember right you dont need to put any marker on a overhang until its around 6ft, still worth tying a flourescent jacket to te end or similar

up to a meter nothing required between 1 and 2 meters must be clearly visible. more than 2 m and less than 3m marker boards must be used .i ave had 21ft scaffie poles on me escort van before ran the gauntlet and they were nobbled of a site
