Ii have replaced the old fluorescent tubes in my workshop with after market LED tubes which are a straight replacement other than the starters being replaced with a fuse. They give a good light but best of all immediate illumination with no flickering or messing about.
However , a friend has said that he has read on another forum that unless the existing "chokes" are removed there will be none of the suggested savings in power consumption - comments please.
