lechler epoxy primer

Hi
I have used 3m stone chip coating under car, as its been on a few days I have keyed up with red scotchbright ,
1. Can I epoxy prime over stone chip then wet on wet after 1-2 hours spray top coat 2k
2.Any recommendations make type of 2k or do I have to use Lechler 2k to avoid reactions

Thats an odd way of doing that job, usually you would epoxy the metal then stonechip then 2K topcoat, any 2K topcoat will go over stonechip

yeah is an odd idea ..you want the maximum adhesion from the epoxy straight onto clean metal

might as well just paint on top of the stonechip now ..no added benefit from the epoxy at this stage

ok the process I used was
1 sand blast underbody
2 epoxy prime
3 seam seal
4 3m stonechip
I was at this point with question lol.
As stone chip data says prime over before top coat could i use epoxy w on w rather that ordinary primer an will any 2k top go over it w,w

You should be ok with any basic primer on top of the stonechip. The primer helps to make a smoother finish once you add the top coats on stone chip - which essentially is what you are trying to achieve I assume (nice shiny ripple finish so crap doesn't get stuck in it and it's easy to clean).

One word of warning high solvents can effect the stone chip so using 2k products will be much safer over the stonechip.

Ah that makes sense now , the 2k epoxy is ideal for on top of the stonechip.
