lawnmower starter rope/spring

have this lawnmower - pull cord & spring parted company as the plastic housing broke. any idea who supplies spares for this? tesco are no use what so ever.

end of the day will most likely be cheaper to buy a new one that repair but i live in hope lol

many of the recoil starters are generic, you may recognise yours in E bay listings, a new rope and handle is about £3.50 on a spares site for Tesco stuff. I think I would be removing the petrol tank and having a look at the starter set up, if the rope snapped the spring needs retensioning and a new rope attaching, Plastic housing knackered???

Start it with a socket in the electric drill on the flywheel nut. If you find out what make the engine is you can usually find spares on the internet. Garden hire spares might be able to help you they are pretty knowledgable.

Purchased one recently from the local garden centre, for £2.

Pretty generic across the board.
