With the arrival of my 'new' lathe imminent, I been thinking about switches and controls to put on it, as it presently has a 13A plug directly on the motor feed.
So, my initial thinking is - I have one of these which I took off the old lathe when I sold it
Have one of these bought and in transit
And am planning one of these in place of a more expensive Dewhurst switch
In terms of wiring it all up, am I right in thinking that the order should be
Mains power > NVR > 1/OFF/2 switch > speed controller
Or is that rubbish? My thinking is the controller [which only cost £1.24 so no harm done if it's not needed
] will allow more variable chuck speed(s)?
Apologies if this is daft thinking, but I generally don't do elektrickery.....
