might watch some YT vids on it to get a good idea on what to do etc.
only issue there Richard is i dont have a diamond file.

Never have I used a diamond file....just get a plastic cup with some water, and standing at your bench
grinder, grind and dunk.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
Should take all of 15 minutes.

I can't see inside your head, so I have no idea where you get these ideas.
and not that I would ever want to.

If you would take the time to learn how to do something, you'll
find that it's not so hard after all, instead of complaining how long and arduous grinding a simple
lathe tool would be.

Same with dialing in a 4-jaw chuck.

Round oilstone will finish the edge as well, I just find it quicker with a diamond file.

I used an hss radius cutter for my pressing tooling

cheers all for the replies and photos, links etc.

i guess its something i need to try and learn, never worried before as i used to get the brazed tools sharpened then moved to inserts for the main stuff.

as its only four 10mm posts i needed to do, i just done the best with the current radius i have for now. and at a later time i can unscrew them and redo the radius if need be.
