Hi I've recently aquired an old boxford model C lathe and no doubt I shall be asking more questions on that as time goes on. I'm a few weeks away from getting it in position and set up in it's new home but want to get together a few of the bits and pieces I will need, the motor is currently wired directly to a 3 amp fused plug and there are no other on / off switches or any electrical safety whatsoever on the lathe, presumably this was ok in times gone by but I need to make it safe to use without having to reach over the bed when using it so I was thinking of buying this

and mounting it on the front of the stand is this a reasonable solution or are there better options available to me ? any help or advice gladly received thanks in advance Norm
