Lathe for sale (not mine!)

This popped upon my Facebook page, hopefully you can see the link!

There is a lathe for sale, Wallasey area but he seems very sketchy on details - this”could” be a god thing if he hasn’t a clue what he’s selling so it may be worth an enquiry? I take no responsibility as it’s nothing at all to do with me, I just thought it may be useful to someone.

From the length of the cross slide I think it's a Myford Super 7. Could be a good buy if it's not too far gone and the price is right.

Damn if I would have clocked it was a myford I would have kept my mouth shut and made him a cheeky offer

I thought a Myford of some sort going by the belt cover. Looks to possibly have a gearbox there too, although difficult to tell from the poor pic(s).

@daleyd If it's 'reachable' for you, be worth at least worth enquiring, ad isn't old and you might just get an early bargain.....

That machine has been very very rusty. The bed is all but trashed.

Looks like a Super 7, no gearbox. Could be a bargain, even if bed scrap the serviceable parts would still be worth a bit on ebay.
