Lathe - any one in south london , surrey able to help

Hi Guys,

not been on a while and not posted for a long time, but i'm building a rookie rod
Basically it's a non contact oval racing formula

well i'm making up the steering coloum to my measurements so i'm happy with it etc.

I need to know if someone is willing to do me a favor, i have a 3/4 inch brite? "spelling" bar which I need one end about inch long machined down to 1/4 inch.

I was wondering if any one in the south, west or east london or surrey area woule be able to help out, been to a machine shop and they want silly money for doing the end and one said it would take him a week to do!!!!!

I can take pictures tonight of what i'm doing so you have a clearer idea if that helps.

I'm at the bottom of the A3 but it sounds like you've got a few closer offers.

Why somebody in a shop you visited couldn't stick it in a lathe and turn it down for the price of a pint I don't know.

What is the world coming to?
