I don't mind it when they come off in a coil, as it lays flat on the floor and a momentary stop of the feed starts another
But that rats nest, Bob scares the crap-oot O'me it only takes a millisecond for it to catch a bit of clothing and it could turn nasty very very quickly.
The worst is when the chuck picks the snake or a ball up, rotates it round for a few rev's then throws it out at you. The instinct at first for me was to hit the clutch which is on top of the headstock and puts me in the line of fire while I'm reaching across, now after taking one to the face and not liking the experience I just stand back and disengage the feed on the saddle until its thrown the swarf ball out of harms way.
