Laser Welders

There are lots of "hand held laser welders" advertised on the web, mostly from chinese sites like Temu and AliExpress. Some of these are obviously not lasers at all, but soldering irons or arc based MIG welders. Are any of them actually lasers? If so do they work? How well? How do they compare to MIG welders?

Yes there are laser welders. Here’s one comparison of them vs stick and mig,

Actual laser welders are coming down in price but still around 4K+

And definately not hand held

and I guess the average house electric's won't be man enough anyway for the semi industrial units at the mo....
Perhaps in anther few years....
U never get anything for nothing....
would I sell my 225amp oil cooled Oxford welder....NEVER.....
I do use a mig on lighter materials......

The model that does material up to 0.2mm- 4mm thick material is 15A max thats not bad.
