Laser/Flowjet/Plasma cutters in Surrey/Sussex

Evening all. Can anyone recommend a good plasma/laser/waterjet cutting company in Surrey or Sussex. I need to get some plates and flanges cut in 10mm mild, tapped as well if possible to save me the hassle.

I`ve had a quote from Cirrus in the past, and although i`m sure there prices are reasonable the CAD charge for one offs puts me off. I already have the parts, I just need to get them copied, so I think I need somewhere with a "magic eye?"

I had a little google, Kelvic Welding ltd and Applied Laser Engineering come up as local, has anyone had experiance with either?

I prefer to deal with companies like this face to face instead of electronically, I find it helps build relationships better.

Probably not close enough but I am told the place in Burgess Hill is OK[I can't remember the name, might have laser in it], I am told their prices are OK.
Can't you do the cad part yourself?

That`d be Cirrus Laser then, I had a quote from them for the same part before, £25.50 each for up to 5 of the flanges cut, BUT it`s the £360 CAD/CAM one off charge that killed it for me.

I have a trial copy of Autocad, I got as far as opening the program and looking, i was then baffled.

I'm in Burgess Hill and yes there is a good company on the industrial estate called Cirrus Laser ltd http://cirrus-laser.co.uk/ never used them but they have been on the estate for as long as i can remember so they must be doing something right!

You could try here Jay I have used these people and they have been very reasonable and I have always just given them a actual sized accurate drawing for them to copy and not had to pay any cad charges

Well, fianlly picked up the bits I needed doing today.

A BIG thankyou to Richard (Graffian) for doing the drawings for me, a very interesting and intelligent guy, and handy to know.

I had the parts cut but Leedsheath Ltd, very handy as there just a few miles down the road from me. Very friendly, very helpful, good price for a one off. I`d recommend them to anyone and will certainly be dealing with them again soon.
