Large lathe steady

I bought this remotely, thinking it was a lot smaller and might fit my AUD :

Long shot, but any ideas what lathe it’s from? Centre height is 9”, peak of vee to centre of machined flat is about 6 1/4”. Threads are Whit. Weighs about 25kg.

The threads are Whit, so we’re probably looking for a British lathe, pre-70s?
