Large diameter, thin wall tube ?

I'm looking for some larger diameter, thin wall tube, approx. 8-9" tube in 1mm wall thickness. where can I buy something like this, I''d need about about 12" or so ?

What about rolling some 1mm plate and welding the seam? Don't think you will find pipe that thin off the shelf, might be wrong though.

I don't have a set of slip roller, all my bending is done round gas cylinders

it's for a breather tank for my dragster, figured it'd be easier to start with pipe

What about a scrap fire extinguisher body, a bit smaller diameter but a nice shape and cheap!

Flue pipe might do, available in anything from about 100mm (4") upwards.

that my friend is a brilliant suggestion. I'd been looking at HGV air tank but an old 9L water jobbie should do it. Now tell me you have a big pile of them going cheap !

Check your local fire extinguisher service/refill place, mine had a stillage full of bottles that were out of date, failed test etc.

mine has a skip full too. They wait till its full and have it collected. They don't mi d me dipping in and taking a few if i drop a few quid in the tea kitty.

I'd also say flue pipe. You can get it in stainless too, 1mm wall thickness and available in short lengths. If you wanted thin walled steel tubing, you'd probably have to buy a 6 metre length!

If I spot a dead one over the next few days I'll put a hacksaw through it to see how thick it is.

8" single wall flue pipe is about 1mm thick.... get it in stainless too, nice
