Currently I am preparing to start sorting and labelling my possessions.

and my instant reaction was this was software that allowed you to take a photo and list items in that photo to print on a label.

After re reading it would appear I was expecting too much.
It's merely about them selling a label printer.

It then got me thinking does software exist with that type of function. Creating a list from a photo , whether it be semi automatic or manually.

I'm going through a similar sorting process.

I spent half a day trying out various apps but nothing seemed to fit with my use....a lot were just trying to sell scan labels.

In the end I settled for using Google drive...I just create a folder for each box and a doc listing contents plus some photos.

So far it's been very handy for finding stuff as it's searchable...I put a link on my phone so it basically opens up like any other app.

It's also possible to share the location to other people too...which one day will come in handy I suspect

It possible is but it was more the software I wanted.

If you pay £112 you get the printer free.
But I don't buy of Facebook sponsored adds. Too dodgy.

Identify every item and its replacement cost.
Prints a label that fits the drawer exactly listing those items and the number remaining.
Point telephone camera at an item when you remove it.
Autonomous Imps update the label and determine the frequency of use of the said item.
Autonomous Imps determine the minimum stocking level based on usage and the optimum reorder number based on delivery delay, price, P&P, interest rate, CO2 emissions, DEI statistics etc.
Autonomous Imps prepare a draft order for your approval and when granted place an order for stock. (or advise time to visit the source of your re-use treasure).
Anything else vaguely useful I've omitted.
