Odd one, but we have a few from different backgrounds on here so…..
I may be in line to acquire a Winton Onboard Power unit which is basically a PTO generator/ compressor.
Not interested in the generator side of things, just want the compressor.
Anyhow. The donor vehicle has a high idle controlled by the Winton unit so’s that when the compressor kicks in it revs it engine till the compressor blows off then it goes back to idle.
The fast idle is put into the ECU by Ford and is somehow switched in by the Winton panel.
Anyone had anything similar done to an L200? I’m assuming I’ll need someone to put a line of code in the ECU to then give me a fast idle which I can switch in and out.
I’m trying to work it all out before I buy the donor and strip it as I don’t want a load of useless kit. There may be a way of doing it without the winton panel but I don’t know enough to sort that.
