L200 mitsi , ocasional smoking and half dying

Hi, fully rebuilt engine 4k ago, injectors tested by pro s, has been running absolutly great, but recently noticed lot of smoke ,black, after sitting idling for 5 minutes then pulling away, this clears , but on reves below 2k often see a slight puff, head gasket is good , no lights on dash, nothing on obd , this morning left ticking over for ten minutes , pulled away a little smoky , went 3 mile to romsey and engine nearly cut pulling out on roundabout , hesitant and stuttery,now its just passed mot, going home pulling away in third gear chucked out loads of greyish smoke , so much so car behind dropped back, this then cleared , and now its back to absolutly flying , no hesitation at low revs ? it was frosty so I am wondering water in system today , but what causes excess smoke at low revs on fast acceleration from pulling away to start with ? I am thing water in fuel, scv , or one faulty injector , but no faults shown anywhere? there are no local garages with mitsi mut obd local .

For starters I would pull the vac pipe off the egr and plug it off, take it for a test drive and see if symptoms go away.

thanks , disconnected the eco agritune box, set to economy, lets see what happens now , drives fine hot , no smoke at all. next cold morning will tell maybes.

Old shape or new shape? New shape like their fuel filters changed pretty regularly.

Not a collapsed intercooler pipe choking the air is it?

I wouldn't drive any modernish diesel on any economy setting ime it doesn't save that much fuel and just choks the engine up with even more S***e , as if the emission gubbings aren't doing a good enough job already
