okay so b and q want £11. Toolstation £10 ish. And screwfix £5. Only prob screwfix haven't got any and I'm not paying over £10 . (For a tiny amount )

I seem to remember aluminium paint stopped resin coming thru but I can't find any !! Do they still make it ?

Just got a section of internal door lining that is bleeding resin thru the paint and it's bugging me

Any ideas chaps ??

Thanks ! I'll give my local one a ring or call in as it's on my way home from work
They moved the store and downsized a few months back and it's a bit rubbish now , no pick and mix fixings and very limited range of other stuff so the chances might be slim them stocking knotting ....

Thinking about it I'm sure I had some in the dim and distant past , I'll have to venture into the rarely entered cup board under the stairs (last time must of been 5 years ago )!!

I usually find the top of the bottle has been glued tight if I have not used it for a year or two, good luck.
Perhaps try to find a new bottle to decant it into before savaging the top off the old one.

Hmm this isn't overly helpful on the face of it as it will cost more, if it is for internal use zinsser bin shellac. Its a really good product to keep as it had endless uses

Zinger bin ? What's that then ????? Shellac isn't that something u coat windings on a motor in ? I won't have much use for that nor am I into French polishing

Bin Zinsser, it's a paint that seals very well and can be overpainted, available from screwfix and the likes.

I used aluminium paint on our loft conversion, all the knots are now bleeding through.Wish I used a proper shellac knotting solution.
