I've got a pair of Knippex 1099 ear clamp pliers. Worked just fine, albeit a bit stiff. Thinking I'd fix the stiffness, I opened them wide (meeting some resistance) closed them and now they are almost seized solid. The single pivot point looks a bit like a solid rivet with no form of adjustment.
I'd rather not chuck them away as they were a good tool. Any ideas? I've tried lube. It can't be that difficult, can it?
