Oh and "Stossmaschine", "Stosshobler" and "Hobel" are the terms apparently to search for.

Hobel is German for plane and Stoss is push so it makes perfect sense, as does the whole German language. Not that I know anything about languages as Dan will tell you.

Sorry, forgot, this was mine originally and the chap had it hooked up to a 3 phase and VFD. I did get a single phase motor but it was kaput. I would just find a little 3 phase for it which was my plan.

I think 3 phase and vfd will be the way forward for sure on this. With any luck I’ll be able to get it in and start working on it soon, first battle is to work out why the clutch lever doesn’t latch on a detent
