Kitchen freezer photoshop ?

Been umming and ahhing for a while now, we’ve got 2 fridges and a built in freezer, and are thinking of replacing them with a single free standing. The only practical place it can go in the current kitchen design is at the right hand of this run, where the inbuilt freezer resides. It would mean removal of the end wall cabinet, and a cut down of the granite worktop.

We’ve Spent a couple of hours at currys, and we like the Samsung, its a good size, practical, and very energy efficient, but the missus is not convinced it would not look “shoved in” to the corner, and may make everything look closed in.

Could do with a photoshop of a cabinet door onto where the indesit under cabinet fridge is, with the samsung fridge freezer to the right of it against the wall, to get an idea whatbit would look like . Is there an ios app that I can use to do it on my phone, or are any of you kind people photoshop wizards who could do it for me please ?

Go back to curries and check how the door opens. Will it be flush to the wall, will it have enough space for the door to open fully?

Yeah enough space but encroaching into the kitchen door opening when open (but the freezer currently does that anyway(

I don't know your financial situation etc, but a whole load of those type of units have fairly simple, easily repairable faults.

So they break, and get sold as broken for very little money. You buy a parts kit and fix them.

We have one here acquired through that pathway.

...and watch out how the door hinge works also. Depending on design, you may need a few inches more clearance on one side than the width of the unit itself.

(especially with the handle thing on the door - it would be awkward for the door to hinge on the left hand side)

id rather keep both nothing worse when it fails and you loose both the freezer and the fridge as its one motor for all

Most of the modern fridge freezers have the facility to swap the hinges over so you can open the doors either way, the last two we've had have been like this.

You have mis understood my point -

If you look at the posters plan, he wants the unit next to a wall. You wouldn't want the hinge on the left hand side as you would have to walk around the opened door to access the inside.

He would want the hinge on the right hand side, however, that would require clearance to the right of the unit to accommodate (possibly) for the way the door arcs out on its hinge, but (certainly) the handle itself.

Maybe you should have a word with them.

I mean why would anyone want to change the side that the hinges are on?

You stand in front of the fridge and pull the door open, get what you want then shut it again, that's what I do anyway.

Now that you've explained refrigerator operation, its clear that there's no need at all!

i hope you know what your getting your self in for trying to remove those

removing the cuboards is the easy part fixing the pelmit and cornice so they look original (is there enought wood there to make a return back to the wall and make 45s ? or are you just cutting them off ?) and that leaves the work top and upstand are they being removed to cut them or done in place ?as to cut them in place youed need a good person to cut them and how they cut that stright and get the cut back to the wall ?

and where is the water coming from for the fridge frezzer ?

when measuring up take in to account the skirting board as well

and the damage to the walls to repair (this will be the easy part)

and take in to the account the light switches does the unit cover the switches?

My Samsung needed an extra gap between it and the wall by 4 inches....
really messed the look of our kitchen....
but after 5 years we stopped noticing.....hahaha......
