Died again just now. thankfully I was only at the end of the street and not going anywhere important. managed to roll backwards back to the house.
think I have discovered the fault though. the 5A fuse for the injector system appears to be loose in the holder and the pins of the fuse quite corroded. quick blast of contact cleaner and a scrape with my fingernail sorted the fuse out and a blast of wd40 into the holder got the engine started again, however if I nudge the fuse with a pair of pliers it dies again. wedged it in for now by putting another fuse in upside down between the injector fuse and the one next to it.
mot is a week today, so going to hope it stays fixed until then and then look at a proper fix. think it may come in the form of a green can and a match though, getting seriously fed up with it now
