Greets.
I had a post in the machines forum about adding a foot controller to a cemont.
Well I got all my bits together and fired it up for the first time tonight.
Been tig welding a while, but never used a foot controller.. just on/off
switch at the torch.
Now the pedals not 100% ready yet (have to find a microswitch) so I've
been switching on/off with the torch and doing the amp control with my
pedal... when I realized (and don't know why this didn't come to me
sooner) -- now I've got to kick my foot controller all over my garage while
i'm working.
That sound about right?
Although most of my work is at the bench, it does get rather
largish.. meaning I usually walk around it.
First impression, foot controller adds a whole new level to tigging..
no more guessing amperage / setting up-down slopes / etc... but I'm
worried i'm going to end up taping my foot controller to my torch body
so I don't have to kick it around all day.
