kennedy emw 220 power supply

Hi guys.

Ive found a few old discussions on these machinces on this site but im struggling to find out, if it will run off a normal socket or if i need to get a need high amp feed installed to run it.

I havent picked it up yet so havent tested it to see if it trips anything yet

From what I can see they are a single phase machine, to reach top end you'll want it running on a 32A supply, it'll run off a 16A but you won't be able to get 220A out of it.

For the sake of couriosity and the fact i dont own a cat.

What is the factor to which decides you need a dedicated 32amp supply?

You need roughly 1A in a plug for every 10A that your welder outputs. Therefore you'll need 22A minimum to output 220A.
I think that makes sense anyway..

Now thats an easy answer even i can understand. I was expecting some extreme mind numbing scientific answer with graphs and equazions and letters instead of numbers hahaha
