Hello everybody, my Name is Adam and I just joined the forum.
I have a very particular reason for joining, the Master Z001 board (main power input filter board) has burnt recently in my kemppi mastertig 1500. The component that failed was the big capacitor that looks like a swollen burnt sheep that I hold in my fingers and to the right is the component I replaced it with. I couldn't see what was this component but by using power of deduction I think I found out that it was X2 capacitor with 470nF of capacitance. The question is now why doesn't the welder work? If someone can confirm that this is the right component or point me in the right direction I would be eternally grateful.
I also replaced the two x2 10nF and don't know if it could be them? How to check it?
These are the components I used to replace the previous ones and are from RS-UK:
878-8039 (KEMET P409 Paper Capacitor, 275V ac, ±20%, 470nF)
311-1024 (KEMET PME271 Paper Capacitor, 275V ac, ±20%, 10nF)
The secondary question is how to connect these wires on the second photo to IGBT module? I disassembled the welder to clean the boards and didn't take a photo of that connection and now I wonder if it's the wrong components, connections or have I damaged something on the way...
Any help is much appreciated,
Thank you for your time, have a nice day.
