Hi, im still looking for a tig welder and almost bought one GYS ac dc tig 180A but today someone posted a 350$ kempi kempotig 250 AC/DC and I wanted to get some opinions, thing is guy dosent have any cables or anything except the power cord and a water cooler. He is really far away from me, like its a 3.5H drive one way to get to him on a good day . I was thinking since I dont have any tig torches or cables and also argon(he dosent have it either) how could I test the machine since at that price in my country its a really good deal if it works( like the gys one with the small bottle and cables is going for like 1k$). So my sugar powered AI bad idea maker(my brain) came up with the idea to use the cables for stick and try stick welding with it set up for tig, I can check gas by listening for the solanoids and I can test if im getting an arc with stick. Is this a good idea? I can test the HV just by looking for the first arc, I can also test ac and dc just by seeing if something happens right? Also if anyone knows, how repairable are they, like are there a lot of components that are impossible to find rn and how good are the digital electronics that run the display and stuff?
Thanks for help in advance
