Keeping cats out of a garden?

Thing that gets me is the pavement is poop tray for dogs yet every dog owner picks the dog poop up?? beats me how it gets there. Must be the dog poop fairies??

just ordered one of them scarecrow things from amazon, and have just installed an app onto an old phone to take movement detection pictures so i can have a laugh at the cats expense

Rather unexpectedly the dog has developed an interest in keeping the cats away, and (especially if Mrs Kayos asks) I have in no way been rewarding him with treats every time he scares one off

I still have one of the auto pest scarers on route, this will be aimed right where the main offender enters

Dont get me started on the morons who pick their dog crap up in a bag then hang it on a bush so its there for the next 25 years.
We truly are a filthy society.

When my last dog died i went to the dog pound after a while & there were two dogs roaring around the paddock at warp 9, a smooth coated black & white collie & a fox red wire coated lurcher bitch, stunning looking dog she had a rather scarred nose & when i asked was told she was in the pound because she was very partial to cats. Apparently had a score of 14. I came home with the collie, I still regret not buying her as well! But at least i still get on with the neighbors!

My neighbours cant complain around my area...i live in a bungalow and our cat sits on the chimney scoping out the natives then runs along the ridge tiles all day

Guess what we got through our door today - flyer leaflet from the council about dog poo in our area on footpaths and council owned property. Outline of fines and other actions dog owners must take when walking dogs. Seems it's upsetting a few people in our area. I haven't contacted the council but I get annoyed every time I take my daughter out for a walk. It's like every 10 foot I tell her to watch your step on certain paths out of view of peoples houses. Kind of ruins the walk down the country side foot paths.

Can't comment on what % of people always pick the poo up. Who knows without taking the average number of dogs in the area and then counting each poo and taking genetic tests to see if it's the same dogs each time. Dare say there are some people in the middle who mostly pick it up and on the odd occasion don't as well.

I hope the majority pick it up. Hopefully the leaflet will knock some sense into the people who are guilty.

I have an alleyway behind my house, and the end house on my street had quite a big dog ..
They used to pick it up from the garden and throw it over the fence into the alleyway (used by everyone to get in/out my area off the main road), there was a lot of it.

Stopped now so must have had the council down.

About 10-15yrs ago, a couple of women started to spray no pooping signs with the x through ****** dog image.

Council tried to stop them, but public opinion got behind them and the council started to enforce bye laws. Wherever we walk we always pick up. But there people who walk their dogs that don't. And I don't think there is enough done to stop it. My sister is 85% blind in one eye from the worms that swarm to the piles

What really bugs me is we own a field and wood which has a public bridalway on one edge, its deep in the countryside and people walk their dogs there, the dogs crap and it gets kicked into the hedge which is fine but some morons pick their dog crap up, bag it and then drop it next to the field gate!
On what planet does it make sense to bag a biodegradable lump of crap in a polythene bag and hang it on a gate.
Who do they think is going to dispose of it? Do they imagine a council warden is going to traipse miles around the hills and moors picking up bagged dog crap.
