Kangoo van dpf

Friend of mine has offered me his 2013 Kangoo van. I know absolutely nothing about them but he only wants £700 for it, he has had it from new and has only done 50,000 miles however these have exclusively been short journeys so the dpf light is on. It has no rust or rot but many dents etc as a work van. He also had aftermarket alloys and tyres fitted from new so has just refitted the original steel wheels and tyres which he had in storage which have done zero miles. Seems very cheap to me, or am I going to have nightmare with the dpf? (I don’t even need a van but thought it may come in handy!)

Generally Renault don't have many actual DPF problems.
I'm going to guess it's a 1.5?

Forced regen might fix it, but might be a blocked/burst pressure sensor hose.
Worst case DPF scenario is likely to need a DPF flush, but the fault may be non-DPF related like a failed turbo, which is a common Renault problem.

I know it has never ever been driven more than three miles from home in it‘s life, certainly never up a dual carragieway let alone a motorway so I was guessing it was blocked!!

I’m guessing it is a 1.5, all I know for certain is it’s a 2013 diesel!

I have a 1.5 dci and it has done 380K Km with everything original, apart from the starter and the ABS unit. Mine is 2007, so 'yours' is certainly the same engine.
No DPF in mine... But at that price, you have a steal.
