A massive thanks to weldequip who last month sold me a gas regulator and some new tips for a great price and came in record time (only just got round to posting up)Cheers!
And another thing... how good is welding with a gas shield!, so much easier to use, can see exactly what's going on with the weld pool, nice and neat and great for thin car bodywork.
If your using gasless wire and haven't tried gas welding yet (and you're indoors) give it a go, deffinately worth the cost of gas and a regulator.
One question i do have however is; what flow rate is everyone using for 5%argonmix on .6mm wire, i have a Clarke 160EN turbo?
I am currently using between 20 - 25 L/Min, as suggested on another thread, but this was for a smaller machine, i don't get any brown staining or splatter so i would say i'm using enough? but i don't want to use too much and waste gas.
