for anyone who wants to copy them
body is from 10mm plate,
height 500mm,
width to center of screw 180mm,
thread 22mm dia....
u'll see that the horse shoe collers retain the screw ball......(4 screws).......
and a 10 degree down angle on the arm.....

The downwards angle doesn't matter. When it's tightened the arm will be in the raised position.

I think when it's tightened, the moveable arm will raise slightly and then lock up against the fixed leg.

Is the thread reasonably perpendicular to the pad when you tighten them up?

I could see stuff shifting when you clamp it up if they're not.
