Just started my welding course and found out I'm on the level 2 class!
There was a bit of a hoo-hah but the instructer was ok about it. He basically is going to put me and this other lad through our paces and see how we get on.
I've worked around welders before but next actually struck up an arc.
Got stuck in with the MIG straight away after the instructer showed us the ins and outs.
Got a good set of welds done on some plate after a few hours. lap welds yesterday.
Following day was fillet welding. This took me all day to get the hang of.
That's it til another two weeks.
I find the MIG easy to get used to, but getting the 'flow' to run right onto the weld is another matter
