Just some mig welds to look at

following on from a recent thred of mine about a helmet issue I have when useing the stitch mode on my Mig welder,

here as some photos of said stitch welds on 0.75mm
the metal was a old petrol tank, I had had the need to drill rather large holes in the dis-used tank.
I was just playing about seeing how close I could weld to said hole before the weld pole melted away as it has done on one weld.

Is that with your Transmig? What a great old machine they are!

I can remember using those years back, before car metal was quite as thin as it is now. The stitch facility was excellent, once you'd got used to both setting and operating it. It's a pity it's a facility not included with many more modern machines.

Nice work, by the way. Look after that machine, and it will look after you.

Yes thats MY (lol) Transmig, I love it :-)

dont worry, I treat her VERY well,
had a very lucky find with the mig, it had hardley been used, when I took the cover off, i was blown away, it looked like new inside.

she gets prime place in my workshop next to my spot welder who is also my baby LOL LOL
