Now I've got all the gear together I set up the 180 following Jodie at welding tips on you tube and laid down a few beads using different methods.
They look flat to me with loads of penetration but the machine is down to Zero on the power and 1.5 on the feed, it's showing around 52A with 10lpm on the flow gauge. I am practicing on a French car wing so steel is thin.
Do these look about right?
The image above the dial settings is the penetration and the crappy, SIP type bead with the arrow is where I forgot to turn on the gas!
