Hmmmm.... notice the "broken stud" has a screwdriver slot cut in it?
Not saying it doesn't work but I'd be more interested to see this technique with an actual broken stud, not just one that's been screwed into a hole.

Watched the video a few days ago. I noticed that as well

I agree, it would have been useful to have seen how effective his method is on a genuine problem.

I've had a few studs out by building up the stud with tig weld then weld a nut on , but they've not been they deep , the process is the same , that screwdriver would just tear off if the stud had been tight !

once a stud is corroded in to alloy its going nowhere even with heat. jap exhaust studs are a prime example

Oh it'll come out, but either with the alloy threads attached to it or in the form of swarf.
